About This Role:
Blueboard is seeking an experienced, collaborative lead to join our team as a Data Engineer. Our ideal candidate has built data solutions for fast growing companies and brings immense data pipeline and architectural expertise. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring our raw data is transformed into digestible, meaningful, accessible, insightful and reliable datasets that are highly available to meet the needs of both our internal and external stakeholders.

Your familiarity with the essential data tools, technology, tips and tricks that can scale as we continue our aggressive growth is important. And to set yourself and your stakeholders up for even greater success, you should be a master at operating and implementing those tools efficiently. You will be a vital contributor at Blueboard, responsible for delivering rich data that stakeholders can use to discover insights that lead to better business decisions.


  • Designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and optimal data and ETL pipelines and architecture to meet the needs of stakeholders;
  • Developing actionable code and scripts that are ready to be put into production;
  • Developing pathways for Blueboarders to self-serve data;
  • Provide guidance regarding the collection, structure and organization of data, as well as refinement of existing data sources and data points, in collaboration with Business Ops, Engineering, and Product.


  • 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering / Data Warehousing roles working in high traffic, fault tolerant, and highly available environments;
  • Expert knowledge of SQL;
  • Advanced level experience using Apache Airflow (preferred, but experience with similar tools is fine);
  • Advanced level Python skills (desired);
  • Expert level experience creating algorithms and datasets for business analysis across a wide variety of departments and use cases;
  • Advanced level of experience using Apache Beam or similar (desired);
  • Advanced level of experience creating a production grade data pipeline.
