They advance the trade of base metal raw materials and secondary products using technology and analytics. The company is based in Switzerland but operates worldwide and has offices in Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

We are looking for a star candidate to join our Research Team as a Data Science Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Build analytic systems and predictive models based on hypotheses and vision from subject matter experts;
  • Assess & validate quality, accuracy & effectiveness of diverse data;
  • Establish processing methodology of structured & unstructured data;
  • Run models and create evaluation reports;
  • Maintain data science solutions with version control tools;
  • Create visualization and reporting dashboards.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of DS/ML experience, building algorithmic insights in production environments;
  • Experience in financial/commodities trading markets, or a proven ability to quickly take on a new domain;
  • Comfort with large data sets, and time series data;
  • High proficiency coding in Python and associated data processing/analytics packages: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy;
  • Willingness and expertise to “get hands dirty” with data engineering jobs alongside domain and data engineering experts;
  • Fluency in AWS stack;
  • Proficiency in querying relational databases using SQL;
  • Experience developing interpretable models to drive value;
  • Proficiency in standard ML/DL libraries;
  • Experience in applying descriptive & predictive statistics and statistical inference;
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git/Github;
  • High proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
