Our client is a leader in computer vision and spatial computing. The company has over a decade of experience helping mobile devices see the world in 3D and serve millions of users. The most notable products include the 3D scanner, the 3D scanning software platform and the mobile app for 3D scanning homes.

We’re seeking a WebGL Engineer to join our team and take an active part in building the next generation of interactive web tools for converting 3D scans into CAD models. That will involve the development of advanced measurement and modeling tools based on our latest computer vision and AI algorithms. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on the team that crafts 3D web experiences for hundreds of thousands of customers who scan millions of square feet per month.

While the majority of your focus will likely be on building 3D interfaces, you’ll also work on more traditional front-end development projects depending on overall company priorities.

  • Deep experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Three.js, GLSL (or any other shader language);
  • Proficiency with 3D math - you should be able to create complex geometries/meshes automatically as well as from the user’s actions;
  • Experience building with WebGL, specifically going under the hood of the framework (i.e., you should know how things work on a deep level, and be capable of making custom modifications, not just copying scripts);
  • Graphics pipeline understanding;
  • Comfortable with reading and writing in English. Comfort with written English is a major benefit.

Bonus points for

  • Front-end (React/Vue/AngularJS);
  • Experience with 3d software (Blender, 3ds max, SketchUp, Revit);
  • BIM specifications and experience converting CAD geometry to different formats (IFC, SKP, and others);
  • Participation in the development of OpenSource projects or having open projects on GitHub, GitLab, and so on;
  • Experience with Django;
  • Python, general Backend web development, and architecture.

We offer excellent benefits, including but not limited to

  • People-oriented management without bureaucracy;
  • Competitive compensation;
  • Flexible working hours;
  • 15 working days of annual paid vacation, paid sick leaves;
  • Accounting and legal support;
  • Access to the newest devices and prototypes for developers (3D cameras, phones, etc.);
  • Possible business trips to the United States.
